NPA Managing Director gives March 1st deadline to Federal road safety body on minimum truck standards using all six main Nigerian ports

Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Ms. Hadiza Bala Usman has given notice to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) for the enforcement of Minimum Standard of Safety and Road Worthiness (MSSRW) for all the trucks entering the nation’s six major ports by no later than 1st March. Recent incidents involving tankers and serious congestion due to poor truck operation has impacted the Lagos and Tin Can Island ports complex and surrounding areas.
